Print-shop staff filed 100 reports in 24 days, right on the page

Cottonbee built its own production system and rolled it out to the people who run prepress, printing and cutting. Tuix was first built for this rollout and used from the first day of acceptance testing. These are the first 24 days of reports.

The rollout

Cottonbee's production system takes each order through prepress, printing, cutting and packing. A small development team built it in-house and tested it with production staff on a UAT environment that mirrors production. The staff reported problems with Tuix, on the page where they found them.

The first 24 days in numbers

  • 100 reports between 21 September and 14 October 2026.
  • 7 people reported. One production operator filed 74 reports; the development lead filed 8.
  • 83 reports went back to the person who filed them, to check the fix on the page.
  • Every report arrived with its page, route and environment.

What staff reported

Most reports were about workflow and data, not appearance: a status that did not change after printing, files downloaded under the wrong name, an order item counted in metres instead of samples, a shelf not freed after packing.

Reports were short and in the operators' own words. One said only “co?” (Polish for “what?”). With the element, the screenshot and the page attached, that was enough to find the problem, fix it and have the operator confirm it.

Why the fixes were confirmed

When a fix shipped, the report went back to the person who filed it. They checked it on the same spot and confirmed it or replied. Done meant done for the people using the system, not only for the developers.
