Slack: the tuix app in your channel
One card per report, run from Slack: assign, set the status, triage and reply.
You’ll need
- Project admin in tuix
- A Slack workspace where you can add apps
- Team or Agency plan
Transcript
1. Add tuix to Slack
- Open Project settings and find Slack updates. Only a project admin can connect it.
- Click Add to Slack.
- Slack asks where tuix should post. Pick the channel, then Allow.
- For a private channel, type /invite @tuix afterwards.
- Back in tuix, the panel names the channel.
- On paid Slack plans, the reports also go into a Slack List.
2. Bring in the open reports
3. Take a report
- Each card has the controls: Assign to me, Assign to…, a Status menu, Triage…, and Unassign under the three dots.
- tuix matches you by your Slack email address, and tells you once which account you act as.
- Set the status right on the card. Every change uses your rights in tuix.
- Triage… does it all at once: the status, the assignee and a note to the reporter.
- Won’t fix and reopening a finished report need a note, so they go through the Triage form.
4. Talk in the thread
- The thread keeps the report’s story. Reply there, as anywhere in Slack.
- tuix records the reply as yours. A Slack mention of a teammate becomes a tuix mention.
- Tomek sees the reply in the widget, on the page where he left the note.
- Replies written in tuix go into the thread too, so the conversation stays in one place.
- Every update lands in the thread: assignments, a recorded fix, and when it’s ready to verify.
- When Tomek confirms the fix on the page, the card shows Done.
5. Your Home tab
6. The Slack List
- The List has one row per card: the report, its status, the assignee, the assignee in Slack, and a link.
- Whoever connected Slack can add a board view by status. Edits made in the List don’t reach tuix.
- Teammates whose Slack email doesn’t match sign in once to link.
- Screenshots, diagnostics and report bodies stay in tuix.
